The broadband polarized beam combiner is composed of two prisms made of YVO4 or Calcite. The Calcite combiner can combine polarized incident light at 45 degrees and 90 degrees angles. It can be referred to the structure of the Glan Thompson polarizer. The polarized combiner made of YVO4 crystals can be made with air gap structure, so it can withstand a higher laser power. The angle between the two incident polarized beams is 100.6 degrees.
