Detail
Fused Silica is formed by melting silicon dioxide with a purity of over 99.9% at high temperature. Its optical properties cover the range from deep ultraviolet (190nm) to mid-infrared (2500nm). The ultraviolet transmittance exceeds 85%. Its low refractive index and high Abbe number make it widely used in the optical field, often for manufacturing ultraviolet laser lenses, optical windows, gratings, and optical components of high-energy laser systems.
