Detail
Neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) is a widely used laser crystal. It belongs to the cubic crystal system and has a high degree of symmetry. This structure enables the crystal to exhibit excellent uniformity in optical and physical properties. The absorption bandwidth is 730 - 760nm and 790 - 820nm. Typically, it is pumped by a laser diode. The typical laser emission peak is 1064nm. With some measures, lasers with wavelengths of 946nm, 1120nm, 1320nm, and 1440nm can also be emitted. By using Q-switching and mode-locked techniques, lasers of different wavelengths (such as 532nm, 266nm, 213nm, etc.) and pulse widths (10 - 25ns) can be obtained. It has the characteristics of high gain, low threshold, high efficiency, and low loss.
