Detail

 The Glan Thomson prism is made of two Calcite prisms or two a-BBO prisms cemented together. The a-BBO polarizer can be used from 200 to 1100 nm, and the Calcite polarizer can be used  from 350 to 2300 nm. It has a higher extinction ratio and a larger field angle. For example, the field angle of the a-BBO Glan Thomson polarizer is greater than 15 degrees.
